Kokkinopilos Red Earth

Our journey to Kokkinopilos, a hidden gem in Preveza, Greece, was an unforgettable experience. As we ventured deeper, the landscape transformed, revealing a breathtaking expanse of land painted in vibrant hues of red, ochre, and rust. This was Kokkinopilos, a unique geological phenomenon where the earth itself seems to be ablaze.

The red earth, sculpted by centuries of erosion, formed dramatic canyons and undulating hills, creating a surreal and otherworldly atmosphere. Sparse vegetation, adapted to the harsh conditions, clung tenaciously to the rocky slopes, adding a touch of green to the otherwise naked landscape.

Inspired by this breathtaking scenery, we created the Terra Rossa collection. The rich, earthy tones of the landscape, the intricate patterns etched into the red earth, and the raw, untamed beauty of the surroundings deeply resonated with us. We envisioned pieces that captured the essence of this unique environment, ceramics that would evoke the same sense of awe and wonder that we felt while exploring Kokkinopilos.
