PLANT:
- Stapelia leendertziae is a succulent known for its fleshy stems and unique star-shaped flowers. The stems are dull green to reddish in full sun. Stapelia is most conspicuous in bloom due to its unique purple-brown to dark purple flowers that appear in late summer.The flowers are bell-shaped to urn-shaped, up to 3.2 inches (8 cm) long, nearly equal in diameter, and appear in late summer.
The cristate form features a captivating crested (fan-like) growth pattern, adding an intriguing aesthetic dimension to this plant. This unique succulent is a rare variation of the Stapelia leendertziae species, characterized by its intricately crested and fleshy stems. - Water Needs: Low; allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
