PLANT:
- Sempervivum Arachnoideum, commonly known as the Cobweb Houseleek, is a charming succulent plant belonging to the Crassulaceae family. Native to the mountainous regions of Southern Europe, this plant is appreciated for its rosettes that are adorned with delicate white hairs, resembling a spider's web, adding an enchanting and distinctive touch to this remarkable plant.
The hairs serve to protect the plant from excessive sunlight and may also help trap moisture.
In late spring or early summer, Sempervivum arachnoideum produces tall flower stalks topped with star-shaped flowers. The flowers can be pink, purple, or reddish, adding an additional element of beauty to the plant. - Water Needs: Low; allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly to prevent overwatering.
- Light Requirement: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight or partial shade. Can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in cooler climates.
- Maintenance: Low; minimal pruning required, mainly to remove dead or withered leaves.
