PLANT:
- Euphorbia stellata is a succulent characterized by its star-shaped stems and distinctive architectural form. This Euphorbia species boasts star-shaped clusters of rosettes, creating a stunning visual impact reminiscent of a cosmic display.
The short, conical to truncate stem merges with the thick turnip-shaped root forming a woody caudex 5-15 cm tall and 6-7 cm in diameter (or more). It is an underground water-storage organ so it is very resistant to drought. In cultivation the tuberous rootstock is raised over the ground so that it can be seen and is especially cultivated for its looks. Architecturally it is a real stunner.
- Water Needs: Low; allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during the dormant winter months.
- Light Requirement: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Protect from intense, direct sunlight.
- Maintenance: Low; minimal pruning required. Remove dead or withered stems for a tidy appearance.
- Common Names: Star-shaped Euphorbia, Desert Rose, Vietnamese Red
- Family: Euphorbiaceae.
- Origin: Native to Madagascar, South Africa, Vietnam.
- Cold Tolerance: Not frost-resistant; protect from freezing temperatures.
- Heat Tolerance: Tolerates heat well and thrives in warm to hot conditions.
CERAMIC:

- shandcrafted stoneware pot in Ironstone glaze
