PLANT:

  • Delosperma sphalmanthoides was described by South African botanist Steven A. Hammer. The plant forms compact mats of succulent foliage, and it is characterized by its small, triangular leaves that are often covered in tiny, glistening, water-storage cells.
    D. sphalmanthoides produces vibrant flowers. The flowers can range in color, typically exhibiting shades of purple, pink, or white. They have a daisy-like appearance and add to the overall ornamental appeal of the plant.

  • Common Name: Notchleaf Ice Plant.
