PLANT:

  • Aloe Suprafoliata, also known as the Aloe Supra, is a striking succulent that captivates with its unique rosette-shaped leaves. This is one of the most attractive foliage aloes and also bears attractive flowers.
With its vibrant green hue and distinctive leaf arrangement, it adds a touch of natural elegance to any space.
Aloe suprafoliata typically forms rosettes of thick, fleshy, and recurved leaves. The leaves are often a blue-green color and can have a distinctive reddish or brownish margin. The plant's size can vary, but it generally reaches a moderate height.
When in bloom, Aloe suprafoliata produces tall flower spikes with tubular, orange to coral-colored flowers. The inflorescence can attract pollinators such as birds and bees.
  • Water Needs: Low to moderate; allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during the dormant winter months.
  • Light Requirement: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight or partial shade. Protect from intense, direct sunlight.
  • Maintenance: Low; minimal pruning required, mainly to remove dead or withered leaves.
  • Common Names: Hedgehog Aloe, Boomaalwyn (in Afrikaans).
  • Family: Asphodelaceae.
  • Origin: Native to South Africa.
