 PLANT:

    • Aeonium is characterized by rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves that form at the ends of its stems. The stems can grow vertically, giving the plant a tree-like appearance. Like many succulents, Aeonium arboreum is adapted to drought conditions. It stores water in its leaves, allowing it to withstand periods of dryness. However, it still benefits from occasional watering, especially during periods of active growth.
It can be propagated easily through cuttings. Simply cut a healthy stem, allow it to dry for a day or two, and then plant it in well-draining soil. The cutting will develop roots and grow into a new plant.
    • Water Needs: Drought-tolerant; water moderately and allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering.
    • Light Requirement: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight or partial shade. Protection from intense, direct sunlight in hot climates may be necessary.
    • Maintenance: Low; occasional pruning to maintain shape and remove dead leaves.
    • Common Names: Tree Aeonium, Irish Rose, Houseleek Tree.
    • Family: Crassulaceae.
    • Origin: Native to the Canary Islands.
    • Cold Tolerance: Not frost-resistant; protect from freezing temperatures.
    • Heat Tolerance: Tolerates heat well but may need shade in extremely hot climates.
