PLANT:

  • Puna incahuasi is a rare, slow-growing cactus species native to the high-altitude regions of Argentina and Bolivia. It forms small, clustered mounds of spherical stems covered in dense, white spines that protect it from intense sun and cold winds. Adapted to harsh, arid environments, it produces beautiful pink to magenta flowers that contrast vividly with its spiny body. Highly sought after by collectors, this compact cactus thrives in dry conditions and showcases the rugged beauty of the Andean desert.
  • Water Needs:
Low; water very sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Keep almost dry during winter dormancy.
  • Light Requirement:
Full sun to bright indirect light. Strong light encourages flowering and compact growth.
  • Maintenance:
Low; requires well-draining, gritty soil and minimal fertilization. Avoid high humidity and excessive moisture to prevent rot.
  • Common Names:
    No widely used common names
  • Family:
    Cactaceae
  • Origin:
    Argentina and Bolivia
  • Cold Tolerance:
Can tolerate brief drops to around -5°C if kept completely dry.
  • Heat Tolerance:
Excellent; thrives in hot, dry environments typical of high desert regions.

CERAMIC:

Planted in a handcrafted Neraw vessel, formed from dark, rich clay with a glossy, volcanic glaze.
The smooth top transitions into a matte, textured base, reminiscent of rocky landscapes shaped by wind and time. The subtle drips and imperfections in the glaze enhance the tactile experience, evoking the raw, elemental beauty of the natural world.
