Othonna triplinervia is a lesser-known yet fascinating caudiciform succulent native to South Africa. It features a swollen, woody base (caudex) that supports delicate, elongated stems with narrow, green leaves typically arranged in small clusters. In late winter to early spring, it produces cheerful yellow daisy-like flowers that contrast beautifully with its sculptural form. This drought-tolerant species is prized for its bonsai-like appearance and is often grown in shallow containers to highlight its caudex.
