- Crassula ericoides, commonly known as the "Rope Plant" or "Bonsai Crassula," is a succulent plant belonging to the Crassulaceae family. Native to South Africa, this unique and visually appealing succulent is known for its distinctive growth habit and miniature tree-like appearance.
The stems of Crassula ericoides are thin and wiry, resembling ropes or strings. The plant tends to have a cascading or hanging growth, creating a charming and unique visual effect.
Because of its tree-like growth habit, Crassula ericoides is often used in bonsai cultivation. Its natural tendency to form a miniature tree shape makes it an interesting and rewarding choice for bonsai enthusiasts.
