PLANT:
- Cereus peruvianus 'Paolina', commonly known as the Paolina Cactus or Night-Blooming Cereus, is a distinctive columnar cactus native to South America. It features twisted, undulating green stems that can grow up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) tall in optimal outdoor conditions. This cactus is notable for its nocturnal white or pale flowers, which are heavily scented and bloom for a single night. After successful pollination, it may produce small, edible fruits resembling elongated berries.
- Water Needs: Low; water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
- Light Requirement: Full sun to partial shade. This cactus thrives in bright light conditions.
- Maintenance: Low; prefers well-draining cactus or succulent mix soil. It is drought-tolerant and should be watered sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. During winter, reduce watering frequency.
- Common Names: Paolina Cactus, Night-Blooming Cereus, Peruvian Apple Cactus.
- Family: Cactaceae.
- Origin: South America.
- Cold Tolerance: Not frost-hardy; prefers temperatures above 10°C.
- Heat Tolerance: High; thrives in warm, arid climates and can withstand intense sun exposure.
CERAMIC:
- Size: cm Height x cm Width.
- Fired up to 1200°C
- Glazed in the interior, to keep the roots safe and secure.
