Astrophytum myriostigma ‘Fukuryu’ is a rare and highly prized cultivar of the Bishop’s Cap cactus, known for its dramatic vertical ridges and often irregular “ribs within ribs” growth pattern. These unusual structural forms give it a dragon-like or crested appearance, making it a favorite among collectors. The body is typically covered in tiny white flecks that give a speckled, almost frosted look. It may bloom with soft yellow flowers from the plant’s apex during the growing season.

Maintenance:
Low; prefers well-draining cactus mix. Avoid high humidity and overwatering. Requires minimal pruning or care.
Common Names:
Fukuryu Bishop’s Cap
Family:
Cactaceae
Origin:
Cultivar; base species native to Mexico
