Aloe dichotoma, commonly known as the Quiver Tree, is one of the most iconic and majestic species of aloe. Native to the arid regions of southern Africa, it can grow into a branching tree up to 9 meters tall in the wild, though it stays much smaller in cultivation. Its name comes from the indigenous San people, who used its hollowed-out branches to make quivers for arrows. The thick, gray-green leaves are arranged in rosettes atop sculptural branches, and in summer, it produces bright yellow flowers that attract pollinators.
