What's Included

Your Handmade Woven Stone

What you’ll do:

  • Learn the off-loom, weaving-on-stone technique
  • Work with a variety of colours and materials
  • Create your own one-of-a-kind piece of art

Rocks & Pebbles

At the workshop you can find your canva; a unique rock or pebble. However, if you have a favourite and special stone, you can bring it with you and work your art piece on this.

All of our stones are accompanied by their stories, their origin and the threads' composition. The idea is that we collect them to weave a story on them with natural threads and sometimes plant-dyed by us. The owner of the stone can decide whether to keep it or return it to the place where it belongs. The threads will naturally decompose through time, creating a new story for the stone.

What is Weaving-on-stone technique?

Weaving-on-stone technique is a famous off-loom weaving technique which is a contemporary art form that blends traditional textile weaving with natural stone objects. We create woven textiles on stones or pebbles.

What does the cost include?

All materials, including stones, pebbles and threads are included in the workshop fee.

What experience level is required?

No prior experience is necessary, only passion, focus and patience! This workshop is suitable for beginners of all ages.

Do I need to bring anything?

No, all materials will be provided. However, you may want to bring your favourite stone or pebble.
