PLANT:
- Gymnocalycium stellatum is a small, globular cactus native to Argentina. It is characterized by its flattened, gray-green body adorned with distinct ribs and relatively short, radiating spines that resemble a star pattern, giving the plant its name ("stellatum" means "star-shaped"). This species is slow-growing and stays compact, making it ideal for small spaces and container gardening. In spring and summer, it produces funnel-shaped flowers in shades of pale pink to white with a dark throat, adding to its charm. Gymnocalycium stellatum is an excellent choice for collectors due to its unique aesthetic and low-maintenance nature.
