- Echinocactus Cristata, a crested form of the classic Echinocactus genus, is renowned for its fascinating, wavy growth pattern that deviates from the typical barrel shape. This mutation creates fan-like structures with dense ridges covered in golden-yellow spines, giving it a sculptural and dynamic appearance. Native to arid regions of Mexico, this cactus is slow-growing and highly prized among collectors for its unique form. It thrives in well-draining soil and bright light. Though it rarely blooms, when it does, the cactus produces small, yellow flowers that add to its charm.
