PLANT:
- Brachystelma plocamoides is a rare and fascinating caudiciform plant native to South Africa, belonging to the Apocynaceae family. It features a distinctive underground or partially exposed tuber (caudex) that gives rise to slender, trailing stems. During its growing season, it produces small, star-shaped flowers in shades of maroon to brownish-purple, often with fine hairs and an unusual, intricate form. Despite its delicate appearance, it is a hardy and drought-tolerant species that appeals to collectors of unusual succulents and caudiciforms.
