Astrophytum ornatum cv. HUKURYU HANNYA is a striking and collectible cultivar of the ornate cactus species, admired for its bold, spiraled ribs and dramatic patterns of white flecks that form unique striations across the body. The name "Hukuryu Hannya" suggests a “white dragon” appearance, with deep, defined ribs and occasionally monstrous or twisted growth. It can produce large, yellow, fragrant flowers at the top during summer, adding contrast to its stark body.

Water Needs:
Low; water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry. Avoid watering during cold periods.

Light Requirement:
Full sun to bright indirect light. Needs strong light to maintain shape and encourage flowering.

Maintenance:
Low; plant in well-draining cactus soil and avoid high humidity. Protect from excess moisture in winter.
