PLANT:
- Asparagus setaceus, commonly known as the Asparagus Fern, is a fast-growing, delicate-looking plant with feathery, bright green foliage. Despite its fern-like appearance, it is not a true fern but belongs to the Asparagaceae family. It produces small white flowers that develop into tiny, non-edible berries. This plant is often used as an ornamental houseplant and is valued for its air-purifying properties. It thrives in humid environments and can be grown in hanging baskets or as a climbing plant with proper support.
- Water Needs:
Moderate; keep the soil slightly moist but not soggy. Allow the topsoil to dry between waterings. - Light Requirement:
Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage. - Maintenance:
Low to moderate; benefits from occasional pruning to maintain its shape. Prefers well-draining soil and high humidity. - Common Names:
Asparagus Fern, Lace Fern, Climbing Asparagus, Feathered Asparagus - Family:
Asparagaceae - Origin:
Southern Africa - Cold Tolerance:
Sensitive to cold; should not be exposed to temperatures below 10°C. - Heat Tolerance:
Tolerates warm temperatures but requires humidity to prevent foliage from drying out.
CERAMIC:
- Size: cm Height x cm Width.
- Fired up to 1200°C
- Glazed in the interior, to keep the roots safe and secure.
